The Cookie That's Opening Our Doors
Brown butter doesn't get enough credit. Most people skip that step because it takes an extra ten minutes and one more dish to wash — but it's the difference between a chocolate chip cookie and the chocolate chip cookie. Nutty, deep, a little caramel-like, with none of the flat one-note sweetness you get from just melting butter in the microwave.
That's the cookie we picked to open Owl & Rye's doors with.
We could've gone bigger for our first drop — more flavors, more categories — but we wanted to start with something we've made a hundred times and trust completely. Small batch, on purpose.
Here's how it'll work:
August 2 — soft launch. Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies, limited quantities, first come first served.
Ordering opens the morning of the 2nd and stays open through the week — once we're sold out, we're sold out.
Pickup is Saturday, 10am–1pm, right here in Oakwood. Exact pickup details go out once your order's confirmed.
August 9 — full menu returns: breads, pastries, and cookies, back to our normal weekly rhythm (menu drops Sunday, orders through the week, pickup Saturday).
Every order earns loyalty points too, so this is a good week to create an account if you haven't yet.
Want to know the second we open ordering? Hit the notification bell on our homepage — that's the fastest way to hear it first.
